Rev. Irma DeJesus currently serves as the Founder of DeJesus Christian Counseling.  She has been walking with the Lord for over 40 years and in ministry for over 35 years.  Her intensive ministry background includes serving as a Youth Pastor, Marriage Minister, Couple’s Minister, and Small Groups Leader. She and her husband serve as Elders in their church and live to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

 

As the Founder of DeJesus Christian Counseling, she also serves as the Director, one of the Counselors, and serves as the Board of Directors Chair. She's also served on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit and is proud to have served as a Chaplain for the University of Texas at Austin. 

 

She graduated Magna Cum Lade from Colorado Theological Seminary under the training and mentorship of Dr. Al Jones from Head to Heart Restoration Ministry School of Pastoral Counseling and holds a Bachelors in Christian Counseling.  She is a member and a Licensed Pastoral Counselor through the National Christian Counselors Association and has Advanced certifications to specifically deal with many of life’s most challenging issues.

 

DeJesus Christian Counseling partners with other nonprofits to assist them with their Counseling needs.  She has created a Trauma curriculum to assist in Counseling participants of a local non-profit, “Jail to Jobs”, which serves to employ and mentor youth offenders and break the cycle of recidivism. 

 

Irma thrives in helping her clients find their identity in Christ by teaching them how to apply biblical truths to their lives so they can walk in the abundant life God intended for them.  She also enjoys mentoring and coaching women to find their calling and purpose in life.
