2024 NCCA Conference Highlights

The 2024 NCCA Conference was held in Chattanooga, Tennessee Thursday, October 24th to Saturday October 26, 2024.


THURSDAY Evening, October 19th consisted of Registration from 7:00pm – 8:30pm, and an active workshop from 7:30pm-8:30pm hosted by Rev. Steve Baran, President.


FRIDAY, October 20th, we had a full day of sessions consisting of:


WELCOME ADDRESS was presented by Rev. Steven M. Baran, President.


SESSION 1. Unconditional Love was presented by Dr. Phyllis Arno. Dr. Richard Arno shared some of his life experiences that happened to him that served as bricks, stacking one on top of the other, that formed the foundation of the NCCA.


SESSION 2. Overcoming Trauma Through Faith was presented by Shanda Miller


SESSION 3. Tools to Tackle Trauma was presented by Dr. C. Michael Courtney..


SESSION 4. & 5. Maximum Counseling with Minimal Liability were presented by David C. Gibbs, III.


SESSIONS 6: Temperament and Spiritual Warfare was presented by Dr. Kathleen Wiley Peterson.


SESSION 7: Empowered by Obedience was presented by Irma DeJesus. 


FRIDAY  Evening Dinner Train Event.  We rode the Chattanooga Dinner Train. The ride was awesome and the food was delicious!


SATURDAY, October 21st, we had a full day of sessions consisting of:


SESSION 8. & 9.:  Accelerating the Proficient Use of the APS, and learning to see the “back story,” variables to consider in the development of Temperament was presented by Dr. Jeanne Kuckelman.


SESSION 10. and 11.: When Nurture Messes up Your Nature, was presented by Dr. Karen Liddell.


SESSION 12. and 13.:  The Source and the Resource, and The Business of Ministry were presented by Dr. Keiah Ellis Abby.


SESSION 14.:  Transformation by (God’s) Design,  was presented by Kim Mapes.


A BIG THANKS GOES TO….


Rev. Steve Baran, NCCA President, for his leadership abilities in lining up the conference location and all the behind-the-scenes efforts that it takes to make a conference a success.  Rev. Baran was also the Master of Ceremonies and was available to give guidance to our members on a one-on-one basis.


Jason Ferrell for all his work in helping to prepare for the conference and working with the hotel staff during the conference.


Michael Andrews for his tech support as well as assisting the NCCA conference attendees during the conference.


Erin Baran for helping out with the photo booth and assisting wherever she was needed.


Mara Baran for doing a fantastic job laying out the conference notebook, as well taking photos at the photo booth and assisting wherever she was needed.


Michael Dan, Linda Walker, Mark Winchell, and Brian Colvin and for keeping the main headquarters open to service our members who were unable to attend the conference.


Dr. Richard Arno for his cheerful presence during the conference.


And a very big THANK YOU to all of you who attended the conference in person or virtually!


It was truly a JOY to be with you all!


Most of all, we would like to thank the Lord for anointing the conference.  We were all truly BLESSED!
